Hemp Plastic

Hemp is the Most Efficient Crop for Reducing Global Warming. It's nearly impossible to overemphasize the threat of climate change. The fact that greenhouse gas emissions are rising more rapidly than predicted and consequently the world is warming more quickly. Global warming will have catastrophic effects such as accelerating sea level rise, droughts, floods, storms and heat waves. These will impact world drastically disrupting food production, and threatening significantly important species, habitats and ecosystems.
This brings me to the next benefit of the hemp plant.
Hemp Plastics compete with engineering compounds in properties such as stiffness and high heat tolerance. The benefit of infusing hemp fibbers lies in that less plastic is used therefore; less oil, less pollution and a more durable, biodegradable product is created. This type of plastic is recyclable and can be manufactured to be 100% biodegradable; whereas the production of petrochemical plastics creates large carbon dioxide emissions and toxic by-products.
There are many different types of hemp plastic; from standard plastics rejuvenated with hemp fibers, to a 100% hemp plastic made entirely from the hemp plant. Designed in Europe over 15 years and now produced in China, Hemp Plastics compete with engineering compounds in properties such as stiffness and high heat tolerance. The benefit of infusing hemp fibers lies in that less plastic is used therefore; less oil, less pollution and a more durable, biodegradable product is created. This type of plastic is recyclable and can be manufactured to be 100% biodegradable; whereas the production of petrochemical plastics creates large carbon dioxide emissions and toxic by-products.
